Kano Deputy Governor, Abubakar, Decamps From APC To PDP

The deputy governor of Kano State, Prof. Hafizu Abubakar, on Wednesday left his governor behind and dumped the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).

Abubakar's defection comes hours after Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, also announced his move to the PDP.

This also comes hours after the deputy governor petitioned the State Police Command and Department of Security Service (DSS), over alleged threat to his life and plans to impeach him.

Last week, a former governor of the State and now a serving Senator, Rabiu Kwankwaso, had dumped the APC for the PDP.
