The president was welcomed by the top government officials and the Inspector General of Police Solomon Arase at the presidential wing of the Abuja international airport.
President Buhari had presented Nigeria’s statement at the opening session of the Conference of Parties 21 on climate change before participating in the launching of the International Solar Alliance same day.
The Nigerian leader also took part in the summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Lake Chad Basin Commission.
Buhari had also met with Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom who hosted a reception for new Commonwealth heads of government at San Anton Palace in Malta.
The president is said to embark on another trip this week to visit Johannesburg, South Africa to attend the forum on China-Africa coperation.
